Boro will be hoping to return to their eye-catching early season form when they host Pontefract at Acklam Park tomorrow.
Ian Heslehurst’s side have endured a difficult 2015 so far, winning only one of their five matches in this calendar year.
That stuttering form has seen Boro slip to sixth in Yorkshire One - but a victory on home soil tomorrow would complete a league double over their West Yorkshire rivals.
Boro sit six points adrift of third-placed York, and with seven matches remaining, there’s still plenty of pride to play for.
Elsewhere Billingham travel to Wirral in National Three North, still buoyed from last weekend’s win over arch-rivals Westoe.
The Greenwood Road outfit are safe from relegation - meaning it’s now a case of finishing as high as they can.
In Durham and North One, Guisborough will be looking to move one step closer to the title as they head to mid-table Gateshead. Trevor Edwards’ side have won 16 of their last 17 matches, but are only one point ahead of second-placed Morpeth.
In the same division Stockton host Medicals at Station Road, but will be without Jack Aldus and Joe Green in the back row.
But Phil Douglas could return, while Tom Nelson and Steve Thornton are both in contention.
Second-placed Acklam will be looking to maintain their promotion push at struggling Hartlepool, knowing a victory could see them go within a whisker of promotion.
Acklam are in good form on the back of three straight wins, and could move clear of promotion rivals Redcar, should the Seasiders slip up against leaders Ponteland.
Meanwhile in Durham and North Three, Yarm will be looking to take their recent cup form into the league tomorrow as they host Washington.
Yarm earned a 37-19 victory over Jarrovians last weekend to reach the Durham County Challenge Trophy final. A top three finish is still possible - but a win tomorrow is a must.
