Flying full-back Ryan Fredericks will put his long-term future on hold until Boro’s promotion charge is completed.
The Tottenham defender has proven to be a revelation on Teesside during his season-long loan from White Hart Lane.
The 22-year-old was sidelined for eight weeks after picking up a thigh injury, but made his Boro comeback in last month’s win at Brentford.
With Spurs blessed with options in defence after Kyle Walker’s return to action, Fredericks’ long-term future in North London will soon come under the microscope.
But Fredericks, contracted until the summer of 2016, says he won’t give that a thought until the end of Boro’s current Championship campaign.

“I’m really enjoying my time (at Boro) - all the lads, the area and the team,” Fredericks said.
“I can’t fault the club or the players in any way.
“Anything is possible in football and you never know what will happen at the end of the season.
“I’m a Tottenham Hotspur player and it’s up to them if they want to do something or not.
“I’ll speak to them at the end of the season and then I’ll have a clearer idea of what may happen next season.”

Fredericks revealed his decision to move to Boro was influenced by former Spurs teammate Kyle Naughton, who spent six months on loan at the Riverside in 2010.
And with Boro mounting a serious promotion charge, Fredericks admits he is just glad to be playing football again.
“I came here wanting to play as many games as possible and become a better player, and I think I’m improving,” Fredericks added.
“The hardest part is not being able to play through injury.
"When you’re not playing through form it’s not as bad because you can train and force your way back into the team.
“But when you’re sitting at home watching the lads doing well, you want to be part of it.
“But I’m back fit now which is the main thing.”
