Tailbacks are expected this morning as a number of protesters gather at the Wilton site in Redcar over foreign employment.
Motorists travelling on the major roads around the site including the Greystones roundabout between Lazenby and Kirkleatham, the A174 parkway from Redcar and others, could be faced with long delays.
Police say traffic is currently running smoothly but drivers should be aware that their journey could take longer and to avoid the area if possible.
A spokesperson added that demonstrations are peaceful at this time.
