Boro chairman Steve Gibson has found himself the star of a fan’s video and selfie that have gone viral on the internet.
The club supremo was spotted by a minibus full of Middlesbrough fans pulling into a petrol station on the M62 after his team’s 2-1 victory at Blackpool on Tuesday night.
As he got out of his car the happy lads burst into a rousing rendition of “There’s only one Stevie Gibson!”
A waistcoated Steve immediately came over to chat to the jubilant fans and the whole encounter was caught on camera.
By today the impromptu video had already had attracted more than 50,000 views and the Steve Gibson selfie “liked” by nearly 300 people on the Facebook page of Kailem ‘Check-Woiin’ Donovan.

Kailem, 27, an MC from Middlesbrough, is the man who took the selfie pic, which also features his friends Glen Bowe, Ryan Dodkins, Ashley Harland, Lee Doble and Charlie Harrison.
Kailem, originally from South Bank but who now lives in Bankfields, is well-known across the region as Mr Check-Woiin - a moniker he made up “which means wicked or class”, he explained.
The cheeky chap even managed to get the bemused Steve Gibson to say Check-Woiin on the video.
In the past he’s also managed to persuade Middlesbrough defender Daniel Ayala to say it.
Kailem told the Gazette: “Steve pulled up behind us at the petrol station and seemed a bit wary at getting out of his car at first, he was probably just checking we were Boro fans.
“With it being a win, we all got out and gave him our praise for what he’s done for the club.
“I had to explain what Check-Woiin meant when we asked him to say it, but he did!
“He then shook all our hands and said ‘My main intention is getting you into the Premiership’.
“I was still buzzing the next day - if it wasn’t for this guy there would be no Middlesbrough!”
Kailem, who already has his tickets for Sunday’s FA Cup clash with Arsenal, wanted to explain to Gazette readers that the reason his nose looks “out of shape” on the selfie “is because I was jumped a couple of days before the match by three guys.”
He added: “It is a great pic and Steve is actually smiling - I’ve never seen him smile in 20 years!”
