Wearside League sensations Stockton Town have now gone 40 games unbeaten after completing their sixth double of the season with a 2-1 win at Jarrow.
Fifth-placed Redcar Athletic came from a goal down to win by the same score at Ashbrooke Belford House with Kieran Stares at the double.
Basement side Wolviston should have taken all three points instead of just one as they missed several chances in their goalless draw against Spennymoor Town Reserves.
Stockton had to do without top scorer Kallum Hannah and could only manage one first half goal despite having most of the play.
It came right at the end of the opening period after Chris Stockton saw his shot tipped behind by Jarrow keeper Garry Frater.
Adam Nicholson headed home from the resulting corner - Town’s 600th league and cup goal.
The leaders piled forward in the second half and Jarrow had former Thornaby midfielder Darren Morton sent off.
Town’s second of the game and 100th league goal of the season arrived in style four minutes from time as James Ward fired in off a post at the end of a run which started inside the Jarrow half.
Stockton keeper Michael Arthur conceded his first goal in 2015 two minutes later when his goal-kick went straight to Kieran Purvis and he raced clear to score.
Redcar Athletic gifted Ashbrooke an 18th minute opener but Stares equalised from the spot and grabbed an 89th minute winner following a short corner.
Wolviston will be buoyed by their display in Coxhoe even though victory eluded them.
Mark Ferguson hit the bar with an early header and sub Chris Fairless blasted into the side netting in injury time.
