Any Teessider of a certain age WILL remember the Millennium.
The bus to get there, the foam parties, the two big smoke-blowing Gods above the dance floor and - of course - the funfair.
Precisely what you needed after a few too many...
The well-loved Teesside Park club lasted just over five years - opening in 1996 and closing in 2002.
But it was fun...while it lasted.
Fans of the nightspot are sharing their memories on a Facebook group - Millennium Teesside Park - dedicated to chat about the venue.
And those who run the group have opened up their archives for us - showing pics of how the venue was in the 90s as well as snaps and footage from the re-opening the club as Club NRG in 2008.
One former club-goer said: “Alice DeeJay's Better Off Alone blasting on radio - memories of the Millennium Teesside Park."
Another said: “Really want this club to open back up!”
The £5m club opened in December 1996 amid a blaze of publicity, creating jobs for 85 staff.
First Leisure who owned the venue pledged the venue was “a nightclub for the next century” and boasted a 2,000 capacity.
It was expected to “put Teesside firmly at the forefront of the leisure industry in the North-east”.
So today - just for the fun of it - we remember the good times, the not so good - and the downright crazy.
Enjoy!
