Coral bookmakers on Normanby Road, South Bank
Three men have been arrested in connection with an armed robbery at a Middlesbrough bookmakers.
Coral bookmakers, in Normanby Road, South Bank, was raided on Sunday, February 16 at about 5.45pm.
Three masked men entered the store – two armed with weapons.
A small amount of cash was stolen during the robbery. No-one was injured.
The three men who were arrested in connection with the incident have been bailed pending further inquiries.
This was the second time in as many months that the bookmakers was robbed.
In December, the Gazette reported that two masked men stole a quantity of cash at the same branch.
A Cleveland Police spokeswoman said at the time that there were no weapons used and no injuries sustained in the incident.
A man was arrested in connection with the incident but was later released without charge.
Police are not ruling out a link between the two robberies.
