Brit Award winner Finley Quaye is set for a rare North-east date when he plays Stockton’s Georgian Theatre tonight.
Scottish singer Quaye shot to fame in 1997 with the release of his multi-platinum selling album Maverick A Strike which featured hit singles Sunday Shining, Your Love Gets Sweeter, Even After All and It’s Great When We’re Together.
Tonight’s gig is a rare acoustic solo outing for the gravelly-toned singer and with just a few tickets remaining, is heading for a sell out.
Georgian Theatre and Green Room operators, Tees Music Alliance, have also announced a return date for producer turned singer songwriter Ethan Johns, right.
Known for producing for Kings of Leon, Paul McCartney and Tom Jones, the musician performed to a sell out crowd last year and makes a welcome return with a new album The Reckoning.
Tickets for Finley Quaye tonight are £10.50 advance, £13 on the door. Tickets for
Johns’ May 23 gig are £10 in advance. georgiantheatre.co.uk or 01642 606525 or in person from Green Dragon Studios.
