Wearside League: Stockton Town aiming to break through the 100-goal mark at Prudhoe

Title favourites Stockton Town can break through the 100-goal barrier if they continue their net-busting traditions at Prudhoe Town.

The reigning champions have knocked in 98 league goals and are coming off a 5-0 home crushing of Jarrow.

Kallum Hannah could be the man most likely after scoring a hat-trick last week, his first goals of 2015.

Manager Micky Dunwell may continue to rotate David Dowd and Daniel Lawson, as well as Matthew Garbutt and Chris Stockton, to keep everyone fresh and involved.

James Swann is a major doubt for Redcar Athletic’s home game against Harton and Westoe after suffering a foot injury very early in the 3-0 home win against Ashbrooke Belford House.

Winger Sam Webster may be ready to play after shin splints ruled him out, and Alex Anderson is hoping to return to the squad.

Wingers Joe Ferguson, Aaron Dale and defender Liam Wood all did their bit from the bench last week and are pushing for starts.

National novice champion boxer Alex Maphosa has proved a dab hand at football since signing for Redcar before Christmas.

He looked set to be called into the first team squad tomorrow after putting in an outstanding performance in Redcar’s last reserve fixture.

But he will miss the game as he is attending an England development boxing squad assessment camp in Sheffield with his Middlesbrough ABC teammates Affy Khan and Muzzy Fuyana.

Two new signings will be handed their Wolviston debuts at home to Silksworth Colliery Welfare.

Keeper Guy Craggs will slot in between the sticks for the first time since joining from Richmond Town.

And Aiden Cannon gets a starting spot in central midfield after signing from local football.

Full-back Dwaine Brown misses out for the rock-bottom Villagers however due to work commitments.
