A police car has been involved in a crash while responding to an emergency call in Middlesbrough.
The collision happened at about 11pm last night and involved a marked police vehicle and a silver Ford Fiesta on Cargo Fleet Lane, Middlesbrough.
The police vehicle was responding to a high priority emergency and had its flashing blue lights and sirens on when the collision took place.
The driver of the Ford Fiesta, a 79-year-old man from the Ormesby area, suffered minor injuries.
Two male police officers travelling in the police vehicle also suffered minor injuries.
Witnesses are asked to contact Acting Sergeant Darren Cawthorne from the Cleveland and Durham Specialist Operations Unit on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference number 23922.
