Ormesby’s Martin Rutter won the Men’s Singles title for the third successive year at the Cleveland County Closed Championships at his home club.
He lifted the trophy after tough matches in both his semi- final and the final.

He led 2-1 before Ashwell levelled the match up.
Rutter, who employs the more powerful game, stepped up a gear in the decider and ran out an 11-7 winner in the fifth.
In the semi-final Rutter lost the third game - one of the best of the Championship - 14-12 to junior Kaine Macdonald but still led by two games to one.
In the fourth he built an early lead and never looked back, running out an 11-7 winner.
Ashwell defeated another of his Ormesby team-mates, Peter Wilkinson, 3-1 in his last four clash.
