Military Bases: Obama’s New Illegal Alien Dumping Grounds

ILLEGALIMMIGRATION_NEVELEOT A source tipped me off last week to a curious occurrence: It seems that two planeloads of illegal aliens were recently shipped to Massachusetts. The first reportedly landed at Hanscom Air Force Base in Bedford. According to my tipster, approximately 160 illegal immigrants arrived on that flight and stayed nearly a week before being transferred to a Department of Homeland Security site and then released.

The second flight reportedly was diverted from Hanscom to Boston’s Logan Airport this past weekend. I am told that both Massachusetts and New Hampshire officials were on hand. I reached out to Hanscom AFB for confirmation, but did not receive a call back by my deadline.

Question: How many other military bases are stealthily being used to redistribute, house, process and release illegal border crossers?

What we do know for sure is that the Obama administration already has converted several other military bases across the country into outposts for tens of thousands of illegal aliens from Central and South America.

San Antonio’s Lackland Air Force Base opened its doors as an illegal immigrant camp last month. Port Hueneme Naval Base in Ventura County, Calif., will shelter nearly 600 illegal border-crossing children and teens. The Fort Sill Army post in Lawton, Okla., was ordered on Friday to take in 1,200 illegal aliens despite the objections of GOP Gov. Mary Fallin, who blasted the White House, saying, “The Obama administration continues to fail in its duty to protect our borders and continues to promote policies that encourage, rather than discourage, illegal immigration.”

A makeshift detention center in Nogales, Ariz., is being used as the central clearing station for the latest illegal alien surge. The deluge is a threat to national security, public safety and public health — not to mention a slap in the face to the law-abiding men and women in uniform on those bases and a kick in the teeth to law-abiding people around the world patiently waiting for approval of their visas.

Meanwhile, a law enforcement source in Texas tells me this week that countless illegal aliens are being released into the general public despite testing positive for tuberculosis.

“The feds are putting them on public transportation to God knows where,” he said.

Another source, working in the border patrol in south Texas, tells me: “Our station, along with every other station, is flooded with women and small children. One lady yesterday had a baby as young as 8 months. And they’re coming over with pink eye and scabies. So getting them medically cleared becomes a priority. They’ll be here for almost a week, so we provide them with formula and diapers. We have a catering service contracted to feed them because it’s too many for us to feed on our own. And of course, they end up being released because every family housing facility is full. They’re supposed to show up for immigration court at a later date, but they don’t.”

Same old, same old. I’ve reported for years on the feds’ catch-and-release games and deportation Kabuki. The “notice to appear” letters — known as “run letters” — are a notorious joke in open-borders circles.

The latest “crisis” is a wholly manufactured byproduct of White House administrative amnesties, which are supported by a toxic alliance of ethnic-vote-seeking Democrats and cheap-labor-hungry Big Business Republicans. The flood comes just as Obama’s DHS announced a two-year extension for beneficiaries of the “Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals” (DACA) program. A whopping 560,000 illegal aliens have been granted amnesty under DACA and also have received employment authorization.

As I’ve said for two decades, illegal alien amnesties guarantee two things: more illegal immigration and more Democratic voters. Now we have a White House forcing U.S. military bases to provide interminable benefits and services to illegal aliens for political gain, while said White House evades responsibility for allowing military veterans to die waiting for the most basic of medical services.

And where’s the GOP “leadership” in this country? Doing the bidding of the amnesty-loving U.S. Chamber of Commerce and demonizing Republican candidates at every level who are sick and tired of giving away the store and the country.

God save us from bipartisanship.

She added: "I am sure that you all know Rik's response would be something along the lines of.....' well thanks very much all of you.............now f*** off!!!'"

West London Coroner's Court today said further tests were needed to establish the cause of the star's death.

The Young Ones, Bottom and Blackadder star was found dead by wife Barbara at their southwest London home on Monday.

Thirteen housing group boss reveals around 100 staff are to leave jobs

Everyone leaving roles has opted to take voluntary redundancy following merger of Fabrick Housing and Vela Group in April

The boss of new housing group Thirteen has revealed around 100 staff will leave their jobs, as part of ‘efficiency’ changes to the organisation.

Job cuts have resulted from the merger of Fabrick Housing and Vela Group to make one super-organisation, back in April - but everyone leaving their roles has opted to take voluntary redundancy.

The number of staff that chose to leave the Middlesbrough-based Thirteen Group is “significantly less” than 10% of its overall 1,400-strong workforce, chief executive Alison Thain has confirmed.

She said: “A number of people have chosen to go for voluntary redundancy.

“We have 1,400 staff altogether, and the overall figure that chose redundancy is significantly less than 10% - around 7 or 8%.

“The whole idea of coming together was to make efficiencies.

“We have good relationships with the trade unions, and we are about halfway through the process.

“Some people went on April 1, while other people are still making a decision.

“The redundancies are mostly in senior and middle management.

“ We should be finished the process by the autumn.”

The new housing group looks after more than 32,000 properties, stretching from North Tyneside to York.

It is made up of five partners; Erimus Housing, Housing Hartlepool, Tees Valley Housing, Tristar Homes and Thirteen Care and Support, which works with young people and troubled families.

Work has started on a £5.4m headquarter building for Thirteen Group, which is located on the £100m Northshore enterprise zone on Teesside.

The new base had been part of a commitment by the Vela Group towards Stockton Council’s regeneration plans.

The company’s operations will be split between the new site and Fabrick Housing’s former headquarters at Hudson Quay, Middlesbrough.

Thirteen Group will also be bringing in new IT systems and ways of working, as part of the changes.

View: The last time the English Defence League demonstrated in Middlesbrough

The EDL is planning a demonstration in Middlesbrough later this month :: Around 500 people were involved at last demonstration in 2011

The Gazette reported yesterday how the English Defence League (EDL) is planning to demonstrate in Middlesbrough later this month.

Cleveland Police officers are currently in talks with a number of groups over plans by members from as far afield as London and Scotland to gather in the town on June 28.

About 250 EDL supporters have already confirmed they are attending on Facebook - with organisers saying full details of the demo will be released “at a later date”.

The last time the organisation marched through the town - shown in the gallery above - was in July 2011.

Around 500 EDL supporters took part.

They moved from Gurney Street along Corporation Road, Albert Road, Borough Road before finishing on the grassy area in front of Teesside Crown Court.

In a counter-demonstration, the Unite Against Fascism group marched from the cenotaph by Albert Park along Linthorpe Road and finished at the junction between Binns.

There, a United Colours of Middlesbrough carnival was held, organised by For People Not Profit and the North of England Refugee Service.

Cleveland Police said at the time that one person was arrested for a public order offence as a result of the two demonstrations.

Watch: Redcar's Kirkleatham Owl Centre urges public not to get in a flap over 'abandoned' birds

Expert staff advise people that many 'orphaned' baby birds taken to them by the public are not in need of rescue at all

A wildlife centre is urging the public not to get in a flap about seemingly abandoned baby birds.

Redcar's Kirkleatham Owl Centre says that over the past few weeks, concerned members of the public have brought in lots of young birds who, apparently, have prematurely flown the nest and are struggling to survive.

Tawny owls, blackbirds, crows, starlings, blue tits, ducks and even woodpeckers - they have all been cared for at the “inundated” centre and the vast majority have been babies.

But the centre’s expert staff are advising people that many of these “orphans” are not in need of rescue at all.

Centre manager Craig Wesson said: “Wildlife rehabilitation makes up a large part of our work here at Kirkleatham and this spring has been one of our busiest ever for wildlife causalities, with the majority being baby birds.

“But if a baby bird is on the ground and does not appear to be injured, our advice is to leave well alone - mam and dad will still feed and care for it until it can fly.”

Craig said that when young birds fledge (first leave the nest), many spend time on the ground until they become stronger and more competent flyers.

He added: “Tawny owls especially leave the nest before they can fly and often end up on the ground looking very vulnerable, but their parents will feed them each night and after a few days, they start clambering back up into the trees.”

Many of the young birds brought into the centre have already returned to the wild, Craig added.

Blackbirds and blue tits are looking after themselves within a couple of weeks of fledging and so are ready for release then, but for the young tawny owls - of which the centre currently has six - it will take a few months longer.

Meanwhile, the centre has advice about baby birds and wildlife causalities on its website and Facebook pages. It is also happy for people to give a call for advice.
