A prisoner has absconded from Kirklevington Prison whilst on day release.
Police officers are now appealing for help to trace David Magee, 28, who was last seen at a shop on Catcote Road in Hartlepool at around 4.05pm on Wednesday, wearing a blue striped t-shirt, bright blue tracksuit bottoms and trainers.
He is currently serving a sentence for section 18 wounding with intent following an incident outside the force area, but has links to the Hartlepool area. Anyone with information should call Cleveland Police on 101.
