Naser Jason Abdo
Naser Jason Abdo was born in the US in 1990 to a Palestinian (presumably Muslim) father and a Christian mother. He was raised in a non-religious environment and got to learn about both his parents’ faiths, though he didn’t express devotion of his own until sometime after he turned 17, when he chose the wrong parent’s religion. He began to study and learn more about Islam, and when he hadn’t gotten a job around a year after his high school graduation, he enlisted in the US Army.
When Abdo was selected for deployment to Afghanistan in 2010, he filed as a conscientious objector. His discharge was approved, but little did he know that his government-issued property would be searched as part of his departure – including his hard drive. Of course, there was child porn on the Muslim’s computer (aside from the Qur’an.) The Army tried to have him court-martialed, and Abdo denied the charges. That case apparently never really went forward.
A month or so later, he was interviewed by al Jazeera regarding the war in Afghanistan. He said, “I don’t believe I can involve myself in an army that wages war against Muslims. I don’t believe I could sleep at night if I take part, in any way, in the killing of a Muslim.” By that statement, he basically came out about being a jihadist. What’s the problem with killing militant jihadists, unless you’re aligned with them? Jihadists harm not only international troops in Afghanistan, they routinely target Afghan civilians going about their daily lives. I understand not wanting to kill someone in general, but sometimes it is truly an unfortunate yet necessary deed.
“Only when the military and America can disassociate Muslims from terror can we move onto a brighter future of religious collaboration and dialogue that defines America and makes me proud to be an American,” Abdo wrote. Uhh, I think it’s Muslims who need to disassociate themselves from terror. They’re the ones who keep blowing shit up across the globe.
Abdo’s jihad against the US military was just beginning. In July 2011, Abdo purchased a conspicuous amount of smokeless gunpowder, as well as shotgun ammo. The purchase was alerted to authorities by the store’s manager, and police tracked him to a nearby motel, which he had been living out of. In the room, police found typical Islamic reading, including the child-porn fairytale known as the Qur’an, and al Qaeda’s Inspire magazine, which contained an article about bomb-making. They also found a pressure cooker and shrapnel with which Abdo was trying to make an explosive device.
Abdo was arrested. He claimed he was HIV-positive, allegedly having tried to inject himself with the virus so he could “continue [his] jihad” if he were not “martyred.” It is quite possible he used another man’s penis as the method of injection. He used his claimed serostatus as a weapon, spitting blood at guards and other inmates. During his trial, his face was partially covered (but not like a Muslimah) so he couldn’t expectorate at court personnel. Later tests confirmed Abdo was, in fact, HIV-negative.
FBI agents unraveled the truth of Abdo’s plot, which was set to take place within days of his arrest. He planned on detonating the bomb at a hinese restaurant near Fort Hood, where jihadist Nidal Malik Hasan had gone on a shooting rampage. After the blast, Abdo then planned on shooting at soldiers and their families as they fled. He claimed any civilians who died in the carnage were “collateral damage.” There are a lot of hypocrites on this site, but this one is among the worst – killing civilians because he’s outraged that the US unintentionally killed civilians? “I don’t appreciate what my unit did in Afghanistan,” Abdo told investigators. Well, we don’t appreciate what you (and plenty of other Muslims) tried to do here.
“I have continued to answer the call of jihad and will continue to the day I am called to account for my deeds,” Abdo stated at his sentencing, not knowing that he was actually describing his sentencing. He was given two consecutive life sentences.
