Boro head coach Aitor Karanka's immediate concern is to get his team back to winning ways.

Saturday’s 0-0 draw at Doncaster means Boro, who were backed by 4,254 fans at the Keepmoat, have taken only two points from their last three games and have gone five hours and 45 minutes without scoring.

Karanka pulled no punches in his assessment of his team’s performance.

“It was difficult for both sides in the windy conditions but when you can’t play you need to fight and we didn’t do that,” he said.

“When you don’t play and you don’t fight it makes it difficult to win the game and is an embarrassment for our supporters.

“We have a huge away following. People came to support us and we didn't play for them like we should.”
