Boro striker Bradley Fewster scored a hat-trick to help England beat Belgium 4-0 in an Under-18 friendly yesterday.

His club-mate Bryn Morris wore the captain’s armband in the international fixture, which was staged at St George’s Park, the FA’s headquarters at Burton.

Fewster, from Ingelby Barwick, scored a brace of penalties as well as a powerful header to fire England into a 3-0 lead before his replacement Dean Rittenberg added a late fourth.

The opening goal came from a 22nd minute penalty, which was awarded when Nathan Oduwa was fouled inside the area by Arno Monsecour, and he made it 2-0 just after the hour mark when he headed home a Ben Chilwell cross.

Fewster, 17, completed his hat-trick in the 72nd minute with another penalty conversion after Oduwa was again fouled in the box.

In other Boro news, Leeds United have sold-out their allocation of 3,000 tickets for Saturday’s televised fixture at the Riverside, pushing the number of seats sold beyond 17,000.

The Leeds following will be the largest away turn-out since the club moved the away supporters to the South-east corner of the stadium.
