Man arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following serious assault in Stockton


45-year-old man suffered serious head and facial injuries in Blackett Avenue :: 21-year-old man arrested on suspicion of attempted murder




A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following a serious assault in Stockton.


A 45-year-old man suffered serious head and facial injuries in Blackett Avenue, Stockton, at 10.50pm last night.


He was taken to Middlesbrough’s James Cook University Hospital.


A 21-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and is currently in police custody.


Officers are currently active in the area conducting house-to-house inquiries and a cordon has been put around the address.


Detectives are appealing for anyone with information on the incident to contact officers on the non-emergency number 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
