The Riverside crowd were sent home happy after Boro passed a real test of their promotion credentials at the Riverside.
Promotion chasing Norwich were supposed to provide a real challenge but Boro swatted them aside with ease in a comprehensive 4-0 victory.
Patick Bamford, Yanic Wildschut and a Grant Leadbitter double completed the rout as Boro moved joint-top in the Championship table.
Aitor Karanka was delighted with his side's second-half performance while Neil Adams said Norwich got what they deserved - nothing.
