Chelsea defender Tomas Kalas has made a massive contribution to the Boro cause, insists Aitor Karanka.
If selected, the Czech defender will make his final appearance for the club against Norwich City tonight.
His loan ends after the game and he will link up with his parent club Chelsea next week.
Karanka was quick to pay tribute to the talented 21-year-old.
“Tomas has made a massive contribution, massive,” he said.
“The first thing is we needed another right back because we had Ryan Fredericks but to have two players in each position we needed another player.
“Tomas arrived and he did very, very well.
“The main thing is that he wanted to play, and he played; Chelsea wanted Kalas to play games, and he played; and, I wanted Kalas to play, and he played.
“So Chelsea and us are very pleased with his attitude and his performances since he’s been here with us and Tomas is pleased to have played for us.”
