Muslims are often very close with their cousins. UK hamplanet Muslim Mohamed al-Hakim and his cousin Alya al-Safar were no exception, though they weren’t exactly as intimate as many Muslim cousins are. However, al-Safar was beginning to venture out into the evil infidel western world, which was something the dramatic al-Hakim couldn’t put up with. She finally took the step she had dreamed of for years and took off her hijab, walking into the jaws of the kuffar without fear of being raped because her hair was showing. Seventh-century troglodyte al-Hakim did not take kindly to his cousin’s personal choices that didn’t affect him in any way, so he decided to try to restore the family’s honor according to the standards of his time period.
al-Hakim claimed al-Safar brought “shame” on the family by not dressing like a ninja anymore. He called her and did what any angry Muslim does – instead of trying to reason with her, he immediately went to the full-blown tantrum and death threat phase. In the call, he called her family “bitches and whores” for allowing her to remove her headbag. He told her that her aunt was displeased with her, and that he had overreacted in ways only an insane man from another era would.
“Listen to me carefully, it has been three days and I did not sleep,” al-Hakim told his sister, probably not referring to a weekend-long bender. “I have decided not to go out of the house for two weeks. Listen Alya, I am warning you if, by the 19th of June, you are not wearing the hijab back, I am warning you I will kill you and harm you. I am giving you ten days. You brought shame to your family, you should not have done that.” For one, “kill you and harm you” seems redundant. For two, not sleeping because a woman wants to exercise her human rights?! Can you say drama queen? And the whole not going out of the house for two weeks thing is probably par for the course; I’m guessing al-Hakim did not have responsibilities other than to his imaginary psychopath friend Allah.
al-Hakim also threatened al-Safar’s family. “I have seen you on the Edgware Road and if I see you again I will kill you,” al-Hakim had told al-Safar. He also made a similar threat against her father when her mother picked up the phone: “If Alya doesn’t wear the hijab, I will kill her or send someone else to kill her. If I see her in Edgware Road, I will kill her dad with her.” Thankfully, al-Safar and her family reported al-Hakim’s intimidation and threats of an honor killing to police, who took the complaint seriously and didn’t just give the fatass a slap on the wrist.
