Finishing as runners-up will guarantee Martin Gray’s side home advantage in a one-off play-off semi
Darlington have targeted a second-place finish in Division One (North) of the Northern Premier League.
Finishing as runners-up will guarantee Martin Gray’s side home advantage in a one-off play-off semi. The priority for now, though, is a home victory over struggling Radcliffe Borough tomorrow.
“We have to make sure we go for that second spot, which is something we’ve talked about since we played Curzon,” said Gray, referring to last month’s 4-0 defeat to the leaders.
“We’ve got five games to go and we have to win all of them, they are all cup finals as far as I am concerned.
“We want second place because we want home advantage.”
