Teesside set for snow as our area braces itself for more extreme weather

Snow is on its way say forecasters!

And with Christmas just over two weeks away the prediction could mean that it WILL be all white in time for the big day.

The Met Office predicts that Teesside is set for snow today, tomorrow and into the weekend in higher areas in addition to the gales which have already hit the area.

It says: “A very cold feeling day with some sunny intervals and squally, wintry showers, these occasionally heavy.

“A covering of snow is likely on hills. Very windy with severe gales in exposed areas.”

Tonight there is a risk of icy roads and temperatures are said to reach a maximum of 7C on Sunday and -1C tonight.
