Justin Bieber apologises for bad behaviour

Singer Justin Bieber has apologised for his poor behaviour in a new video, saying he wants people to know that he has a caring side.

In the two-minute video posted on Facebook, the singer says his "arrogant and conceited" attitude over the last two years was just to cover up his true feelings.

He added that growing up in the industry was tough.

Bieber, 20, visited The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Wednesday and said he was "nervous" about the appearance and did not know how people would react to him.

He was booed heavily at the Fashion Rocks event last year and his recent Calvin Klein ad was ridiculed. His tumultuous behaviour has ranged from a drink-driving arrest and egg-throwing vandalism to clashing with a paparazzo.
