Boro season ticket prices set to be unveiled as Karanka talks of passion for the club

Boro were today set to unveil prices for next year’s season tickets.

They will also open applications for their annual “early bird” offer that will give existing season card holders a significant discount if they renew before the deadline in April.

Aitor Karanka has appealed for Boro fans to continue to back him.

“When the chairman told me his dream for this football club, I knew straight away that I wanted to do everything in my power to make it come true,” he said.

“Everyone has given me such tremendous support from the day I arrived, and I can’t tell you how proud I am to manage this club. We are a team on and off the field.

"From the players to the staff to the supporters, we are united in one aim: to build successful times for Middlesbrough. This is a club with proud traditions and a fantastic history, with wonderful fans who follow us the length of the country to roar us on with their support. I hope I can count on you to continue your backing as we seek to build on what we have achieved together this season.”

Buying into the entire campaign will mean a significant saving on matchday prices.

And with Boro second in the Championship and fighting for a place in the Premier League there is a big incentive for fans to sign up. Season cards holders also get priority for high demand tickets, new shirts, cheap stadium tours and free membership of the travel club.

Boro will continue the popular “have a drink on us” offer that gives season card holders a free pint, soft or hot drink at every game. Boro currently have over 12,600 season card holders and with gates nudging up and the prospect of top flight football they expect a healthy uptake for renewals.

Full details will be available on GazetteLive from 11am.
