Stockton man jailed for seven years for three counts of sexual assault

A man has been locked up for seven years for three counts of sexual assault.

Scott Ferguson was found guilty of the offences following a four-day trial at Teesside Crown Court.

The 21-year-old also faced a charge of attempted rape but was acquitted of this offence by the jury.

Following the verdicts, which were given in court on January 22, the judge, Recorder Andrew Stubbs QC, went straight into sentencing.

Ferguson, of Bath Lane, Stockton, denied all the charges against him.
