Haryana Church attack justified by VHP, supports Swami’s statement “God does not live in mosques but in temples”

VHP came out heavily to defend the demolition of a church in Hisar district of Haryana State. It posed a question whether Christians would permit the construction of a Hanuman temple in the Vatican City.

Mr. Surendra Jain, VHP’s Joint General Secretary declared 1857 war of independence as a communal which was fought for religion and told that similar wars could also be waged against Christians if they did not stop religious conversions.

He further said that the allegations of communal overtones in the gang rape of a nun in Nadia in West Bengal were a conspiracy of the church and that sexual exploitation of nuns was a Christian culture, and not of the Hindus.

VHP categorically denied the involvement of Hindus in Hisar and Nadia incidents.

He called it a spontaneous response of the local people. There is no Christian population living in and around the village, why was a church was being built there? Obviously, the church was being built with a motive to convert people into Christianity.

He also said that this fought the war of 1857 for the cause of religion. People will protest against aggressive conversion, just as they reacted to the killing of Swami Laxmananda in Odisha in 2008.”

Commenting on the gang-rape of a nun in West Bengal, Mr. Jain said that it should be considered as a crime and not through the prism of religion. He added that it is the culture of Christians who exploit nuns. Hindus don’t do these things. He mentioned that the Vatican received 5,000 complaints of sexual exploitation in five years which prompted the pope to appeal for legalization of gay sex.

Mr. Jain extended his support to Mr. Subramanian Swamy when he said that “God does not live in mosques but in temples”. It is a fact that even Muslims agree to it. If you ask any Muslim whether Allah lives in mosque, he would reply in the negative. In Saudi Arabia, many mosques have been demolished but no one has objected to it.
