A fine art exhibition which looks at the “decay and moral decline” in society has gone on display at Teesside University.

The week-long exhibition is the creation of five second year students who were tasked with organising the display as part of their BA Hons Fine Art degrees.

The exhibition, ‘Decadence - The Definition of the Dissolute’

Student Christopher Cameron, from Billingham said the group, including Abi Coates, from Redcar, Jenny Kilmart, from Ingleby Barwick and Gabriel Ardron, from Middlesbrough and Ashleigh Copeland, from Darlington, were able to use their individual styles to moral decline in society.

“We have used buildings, sculptures, anatomical paintings and abstracts to capture humanity in its decline,” said Christopher, 37. “We’ve had a fantastic response from the public, and it is a life experience that we will never forget.” Visit the exhibition at the Waterhouse building until 5pm on Thursday.
