Police yet to make any arrests after man was stabbed in the buttocks in Middlesbrough


Detectives investigating a stabbing are yet to make any arrests.


Cleveland Police were called to Errol Street, in central Middlesbrough, at 10.20am on Friday after reports of an attack.


The force later confirmed a 33-year-old man had been stabbed in the buttocks in the street attack and had lost a large amount of blood.


The victim was taken to James Cook University Hospital but left without receiving treatment.


Just hours after the incident, scenes-of-crime officers could be seen in the area and a police cordon was also in place on nearby Egerton Street at the Waterloo Road junction.


Officers were also making door-to-door inquiries.

Trails of blood could be seen on Egerton Street, as well as on Errol Street.


Local resident Vicky Hilton, 21, who lives on the street, said: “I was in the house at the time, but did not see anything. The first I knew was when I saw police officers on the street and a police van.


“It is normally quiet around here.”
