A Gazette reporter and photographer witnessed a traffic collision involving a lorry and car on the A174 Parkway this morning.
The accident involved a black Ford Ka and an Eddie Stobart lorry and occurred on the A174 Eastbound between A1044 Low Lane and Stainton Way.
Police said an ambulance was called due to two children travelling in the car, however no one was taken to hospital.
It is believed the car had spun and gone through the roadwork bollards.
Gazette staff were on the scene to report on how police were monitoring the traffic flow on a stretch of the Parkway as more rush hour misery is caused by drivers “unwilling to wait” in roadworks.
