Two more people have been arrested by detectives investigating two stabbings in Middlesbrough.
A 41-year-old man and a 35-year-old man were arrested on suspicion of assault on Sunday, after two men were discovered with stab wounds in separate properties on Friday.
A 46-year-old man and a 26-year-old woman were arrested on Friday on suspicion of false imprisonment.
Cleveland Police said all four have been released on police bail.
A 41-year-old man was found at a house on Park Lane, in central Middlesbrough, at around 7.10am on Friday morning.
The second man, a 35-year-old, was located at a home on nearby Myrtle Street shortly after.
Police cordons were placed around the properties and remained in place on Saturday, after scene of crime officers searched the property on Friday.
Officers also conducted door-to-door enquiries on nearby streets after the incidents, which saw both victims taken to James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough.
They were described as having “non-life threatening injuries” by police.
